Transplantation In Polycystic Kidney Disease

Polycystic kidney disease (PKD) is an important reason of end-stage renal disease in our country. The frequency of PKD'in İstanbul School of Medicine Transplantation outpatient clinic is 2.5%. Renal transplantation is the preferred treatment modality in PKD. There are some clinical characteristics and possible posttransplant complications related with PKD. Cardiovascular problems are very important due to high frequency and mortality ratio.
