Radiologic Assessment In Kidney Diseases

In the early 1930s intravenous pyelography was the primary imaging technique for the investigation of urinary system disorders. Non invasive ultrasound methods such as sonography and Doppler are now positioned as first line methods for the evaluation renal and vascular diseases. Digital cross-sectional imaging techniques (ie, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging) are next step to evaluate renal diseases.
